We started with a bold question, what if we could change the fluoride treatment market?

The new 3M Clinpro™ Clear Fluoride treatment does just that. Typical varnish treatments contain rosin, or shellac, an extremely sticky substance that leaves the patient with a very unpleasant experience. This makes delivery of varnish treatments very difficult to apply, leaving a clumpy, tacky texture on the patients teeth.

3M Clinpro™ Clear is a unique, natural formulation that is safer and designed to target decay, remove white spot lesions and prevent future cavities. Using Water, instead of rosin, allows for better product mixing and easier application with less waste. Our all-in-one delivery method allows for faster, easier application, while utilizing a lower concentration of fluoride that’s safer for the patient.

Using a human-centered design approach, we were able to change the varnish game with a strong focus on patient needs and overall customer experience. A very successful product built around passion, collaboration and execution.
